Communications with our Affiliates over the last several weeks have revealed an amazing spirit of solidarity, ingenuity, and community. Each and every one of you is doing their part to support families and forging new paths for connection. Raising A Reader is working hard to respond to the ever-changing situation, and to keep our Affiliates informed and connected. Thank you for being our partner in this journey.
At last week’s Town Hall we featured Common Sense Media’s new platform, Wide Open School. They have collaborated with 25 partners to bring a free collection of the best online learning experiences for kids PreK through Grade 12. If you missed it, you can watch the recorded version here.
For this week’s Town Hall we will be joined by Save the Children to share some of their COVID-19 response materials, and Barefoot Books who will preview their new Atlas app for kids. We will also share ideas for connecting families to libraries for “socially-distanced” blue bag events. Register here.
And finally, our warehouse is open! If you are trying to meet a June budget deadline, or prepare for your post-COVID-19 relaunch, we are ready to fulfill your RAR material needs. Shipments out of the warehouse will begin on Monday, May 4th.
We are in this together!
Kindest regards,
Michelle Torgerson and the Raising A Reader team
