Dear Raising A Reader Network,
Our hearts go out to those in the west that are being impacted by the smoke and fires raging along the coastal states, and to our friends in the south that are facing hurricane season. There seems to be so many adversities challenging us these days. However, I am certain that our collective will and collaboration will get us through. Thank you for being part of our community and facing these challenges alongside us.
Last Friday’s Town Hall meeting presented new information from the REALM Project, a collaboration of organizations conducting research on how long the COVID-19 virus survives on materials that are prevalent in libraries, archives and museums. This information will help guide Affiliate’s safety practices when rotating books and bags. If you missed it, check out the slides and recording.
