Dear Raising A Reader Network,

For the past few weeks we’ve been highlighting the features of our new Fabulous Fall Family Packs, designed to provide teachers and families with the resources to connect during these times of distance learning when physical books might be scarce. Included in each pack are six bilingual books that are accompanied by 12 weeks of curriculum outlined in the Family Guide. In addition to explaining how to implement reading strategies, the guide describes why these skills are important and how they foster early brain development and literacy development. We are excited to share this sneak peek with you.  If you think your teachers and families might find this helpful, contact us for more information or a quote: rarinquiry@raisingareader.org.

At last Friday’s Town Hall we had two guest speakers.  Chalese Miller from the Mono County Office of Ed shared her innovative ways of connecting with rural implementation sites through newsletters, online read-alouds and more. Jennifer Radics-Johnson of the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation provided information and access to free resources on burn prevention. Check out their presentations and links on the recorded version and slide deck.

Please join us for Friday’s Town Hall by registering here.

Kindest regards,

The Raising A Reader team
