Dear Raising A Reader Network,
Yesterday, October 5, was World Teachers' Day. Given all that teachers are doing to reach their students amid a global pandemic, 2020 gives us extra cause to celebrate the dedication and commitment our teachers have to ensure that students are learning and thriving. Raising A Reader sends a special thank you to all teachers, including parents, for all you do!
Who doesn’t like story time? At last week’s Town Hall, RAR Assistant Vice President, Rebecca Armstrong, created a fun and festive fall-themed reading of How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin? Rebecca demonstrated just a few of the ideas that are included in the Fab Fall Implementer Toolkit that can bring story time alive and help children make meaningful connections. If you missed it, check out the video or see the slides for storytime ideas.
This Friday, Raising A Reader Massachusetts will present their virtual parent engagement workshop program. As we are all trying to find innovative ways to connect with parents, this is one you won’t want to miss. Please join us by registering here.
